Question:

Can I take mechanics for a Bio degree?

I want to take a cal-based physics class for my bio degree. My friends recently told me they took bio physics to cover that. I'm taking mechanics which they told me is for an engineering major. They were not sure if it was okay for me to take mechanics to cover cal based physics for a Bio degree. Does anyone know if it's okay? I'm recently in search of who my advisor is, so I can be sure.

  1. You'll need to check but usually a calculus-based physics would be acceptable as it supersedes an algebraic physics course.  Yes, mostly engineering students will be enrolled as its a mandatory course for them, most all whom will be freshman. It's known as a pre-engineering weed-out class, with usually about a quarter to half the class failing.
