Can I take my cokatiel on the Alaska Airlines? ?

I'm planning on moving from south California to Oregon and I'm taking Alaska Airlines. I really want my cockatiel to go with me. So can I take her? And if I can what kind of carrier should I buy? Around what price will it be? But mainly , whats best for her?

See site below for alaska airline pet policies.  you will want to check with your vet before taking your bird with you.  You will need a health certificate.   Site gives carrier requirements. you can purchase one from them or from a pet store as long as it meets those requirements.

"Check with a vet or a pet store for a small bird carrier.  Double check with the airline too.  You shouldn't have any problems with your bird on board with you."
