Can I take my dog with me traveling to Mexico by plane??

I am traveling to Mexico and would like to take my dog with me, I am going to be traveling by plane. Has anyone done this before? What do i need to take her out of the US? Thank you for your time and Happy Holidays

You need to call your specific airline to make arrangements to take your dog on the plane.  To bring the dog into Mexico, you must have an internatiojnal health certificate made out less than 2 hours before the dog will arive in Mexico. The dog must have a very recent rabies shot...even if it is not due yet, get it.  Also, you must have a complete vaccination record for the dog.  Have 3 copies of everything.  Your vet should know what forms to fill out.See sites below.
