Can I take my doggie on the train(amtrak)?

I'm sick and tired of my doggie not being allowed to places. He is a nice dog (collie/shepherd mix) and I want to take him places but I can't because it isn't dog friendly anywhere. I was able to take him last year to see Santa Claus at the mall but thats it

  1. Amtrak trains do not allow animals on board at anytime with the exception of trained service animals. I was surprised considering they have the ability to separate pet friendly people from not so pet friendly people.

    I searched Yahoo! using "Dog Friendly Travel". You may want to check out dogfriendly.com or other pet friendly sites that can help you find places that welcome your pet and you!
