Can I take my laptop with me as a carry on to India on the plane?

yes you can. It will be checked when you go through security, they will ask you to turn it on, and if everything looks ok you will be allowed. the person whom said ..." remove the battery" is wrong. My husband and I travel constantly with out lap tops and have never had to remove the battery.

you can  but do not connect to any net work during take off or landing

Only if you remove the battery, as to use any electronic equipment can sometimes interfere with the aircrafts electrical system, especially navigation instruments. I'm sure you wouldn't like to land in Australia instead of India ha ha !

I think yes but you can't use nothing with network like internet or mobile phones!

Yes, but there are certain things to keep in mind.

1. When you get to security, you have to take the laptop out of it's case, and put in a seperate bin.

2. You can't use it for the internet.

3. You can use it for any videos watching offline, and any games that's on your laptop.
