For my sister's sixteenth birthday, I wanted to take her to get a tattoo. (I'm eighteen and live in Connecticut). Can I sign as a guardian or will I also need my parents' consent?

  1. I think you might have to be at least 21 to give consent for a tattoo or piercing.

  2. In every state that actually allows minors to get tattoos their legal guardian/parent has to be present. You are not her legal guardian, so no, you cannot sign.

  3. You have to be her parent or legal guardian. I'm sure you would have to prove it.

  4. i think she will have to ask her mom n dad to let u sign it .

  5. Heyy,

Know you cant do it unless she didnt have any guardians and you were taking care of her.

  6. If its like Ohio, no you cant.

You have to be legal gaurdian or parent, sister doesnt count. THey will reject you.

Ive been with people getting piercings and once the girl was 1 day before 18 and they still didnt let him without parent.

Tattoo is going to be the same.

  7. You have to be 21, or an legal guardian to take someone to get a tattoo.
