Can I take propranolol 80mg twice in one day?

I'm nervous about something happening tomorrow, and i normally get nervous and panic the night before.

I took a propranolol tablet this morning thinking it would be okay to take another around 7 pm.

But now I'm unsure. I cant remember what dosage I was told to take by my doctor, as i was given them a few years ago.

the usual dose for anxiety is 40mg once daily, increased to 40mg  3 times daily if necessary.

I won't advise taking another one today especially if you haven't been taking them regularily.  U risk dropping your blood pressure 2 low.

Try to relax by going for a walk, having a bath or doing some deep breathing.

You will not max out the dosage if you take a second one today.

the normal dosage for propranolol in anxiety is 40mg daily increased to three times daily if required. I would get in touch with your doctor and check with him/her. You say you were given them a few years ago are they still in date?
