  1. They should be able to if you take them somewhere where they do ski stuff like sports authority or christy sports...... just dont do it yourself if you dont know what youre doing cuz u want them to fit your boots and be safe out on the moguls.

  2. I would agree with others about mounting bindings onto a new ski.  Older bindings will work but if they have been heavily used, it is best to toss them.  They do wear and tear.  And, the kind of ski you now have may need a very technical mounting that you might not be able to do in a workshop.

Also, some skis have different balance points that require putting the binding either forward or back depending upon the type of skiing you intend to do (free style, deep powder, icy slopes, etc)

Setting the DIN requires information about your skiing ability, age, weight, and type of binding.  It used to be not such a big deal.  Today I would want a professional to put my bindings on.

Lastly, you really need to know the type of materials your ski is made of.  How far do you make the initial drill hole?  How do you seal the holes.  What type of s***w do you use for the ski?  You get the point that it is more of a technical expertise and not something you just go ahead and do by yourself.  You don't want to stress a new pair of skis by improperly fitting the binding.  And, you surely don't want to break a leg!!!

  3. yes you should be able to do it just watch out if you have small bindings try not to put them on big skis because you could fall out of them and injure yourself. I suggest you ask a ski shop to switch your bindings because they are more experienced at it.

  4. ya if u know how to do it right there will be no problem

  5. Maybe. If your new skiis are not wider than your old ones, so the brakes will work correctly.  Also you must mount them in the proper balance point and adjust them so the forward tension and the DIN settings are correct. It's faster and easier to take them to a pro shop and have them do it. They have all of the tools and jigs and know what they are doing.

Last season, someone at our area did just what you want and had the binding release but the brake did not work and put his ski through a car window in the parking lot.  $400 for a window when a $20 mount would have prevented it.
