I'm going to be a sophomore in high school next year, so I'm taking the PLAN and the PSAT, as well as when I'm a junior. But I haven't been able to get a clear answer from anyone--can I take both the SAT and the ACT when my senior year rolls around? Yes, I understand all of the differences between them and the advantages of each, but i just need to know if I'm allowed to take both. Thanks!

  1. Yes, you may take both.  However, be aware of the deadlines of the colleges you may be applying to as a Senior, as the ACT and SAT scheduled test dates may not be at the correct times.  I, personally, would suggest taking them during your Junior year or summer before your Senior year. But to each his own. :)

  2. yes, you can take them starting your junior year. Either one is o.k., unless going to school on the eastside of the U.S. then you only take the SAT because that is what they accept.
