Can I take the ends off of my micro dermal (piercing)?

Question

I was wondering if it is possible to take the balls, spikes, disks, etc. off of my microdermal if i want to hide it or make it less noticeable, or if i just don't want it in the way? Or will the skin close over the jewelry?

And also, what's the best place to buy microdermal jewelry. Preferably on the internet.

get a clear ball or a retainer.

if you take off the end, it will probably close up, depending on what type of jewelry it is.

like if it has a threaded piece sticking up or what

just put in something discreet rather than taking out the top otherwise the sking might heal over it.

I've never heard of skin closing over microdermal jewelry.  Is your microdermal internally or externally threaded?  If it's externally threaded it will stick out anyway, and if it's internally threaded it looks like there's a big hole in your body (not too hot).  I would suggest buying a flesh colored disk for it, that would lay flush with your skin and be less noticable.
