Question:

Can I take this in my carry-on luggage?

I traveling on JetBlue and I was wondering if it's ok to take ceramic kitchenware like a mug(1) and bowls(2) (no glass) in my carry-on luggage. I don't want to put them in my check luggage because I'm afraid they'll break. Maybe someone that works in an airport or for an airline would be knowledgeable about this.

Thanks!

  1. Yes you can carry anything you like as long as it is legal to be carried on a aircraft as cabin luggage I did i purchased 2 Classic bone china presentation cups and saucers  and for same reason carried them in cabin luggage so as to to have them broken

  2. you probably can. Its not on TSA's prohibited items to carry on list.

You should wrap it in paper (like those kinds that you get at the stores that sell silverware) and put between the middle (and surround it with clothes and soft stuff) It can still break in the carry on.

  3. yes you can

  4. I have taken wine glasses with me in my carry-on for the same reason.  There was no problem with it.

  5. Yes, that is fine.

  6. yah it should be ok

  7. Oh yeah if it isn't glass you can take it. No problamo. Lolz

    Have fun on the airplane!!!

  8. You shouldn't have a problem with it... although they may want to check your bag if something shows up on the xray screen.

Also, if you can, I recommend putting it into your luggage.  Try wrapping them in your clothes for padding.

  9. yeah

  10. Not for sure sorry your best bet would be to call the airline to know for 100% so you do not get a false answer on here. Good luck

  11. call jetblue and ask. they should have an 800 number. they would be the ones with the last word but i have never heard of an airlines rejecting ceramics tho i have never tried to carry these items on a flight.  get some bubble wrap and a really strong box or even bubble wrap the box too and put that in a box and mail the ceramics to your desinaation. that way you can insure them against breakage. the airlines are none to gentle with their luggage and if u put the carry on under the seat there is no way you can be sure the person in front of you won't step on the bag and break the items.

  12. Maybe

  13. yea this should be ok

its not considered a weapon at all

  14. im pretty sure it would be ok cuz i once took a fairly large ceramic statue on the plane and it was no problem
