Can I temporarily hook my camper battery to the truck without a battery separator?

Question

I have no access to a new battery separator for a few days. Can I hook my camper battery directly to the truck charging system, say thru the trailer lighting hookups, until I get home and can get a new one installed?

Yes but only while the engine is running otherwise you pull down both batteries
