Question:

Can I test now? Is there any hope?

My cycles are 30-31 days usually and today is Day 35. My gynocologist had me do a pregnancy test (blood) and progesterone test on Aug. 21 because I have been unsuccessful in getting pregnant for a year now (I have two kids already). The pregnancy test was negative and the progesterone test showed I never ovulated. My last period started July 28 or 29th. Is there any hope that I ovulated after the 21st with a usually 30-31 day cycle? My gyno insists I'm ovulating because I have my period regularly around the same time give or take a few days. From what I read, this does not mean I'm ovulating. I feel if it is Day 35 or 36, I could be considered late, but then I feel like I probably never ovulated. Thoughts?

Note: Had a miscarriage June 07, have a 3 and 5 year old that I got pregnant right after getting off the pill. Because of this, I want to go on the pill for 2 months and see if I can easily get pregnant after I get off since that is my history. Gyno thought its worth a try.

  1. I agree with going on a pill for couple of months to "restart" things up. I would ask for Provera to get your period and then do the pill.
