If you know someone who is a CDA Representative and/or CDA Advisor you might be able to talk with them and get your hours verified, but you will still need to put together your resource file and take the exam.

The CDA has to be renewed every three years, so if you are just talking about a renewal, you should be able to find out about that fairly easily by contacting the Council.  http://www.cdacouncil.org/

No. I tried that, and it must be a question that is asked a lot, because I got nowhere fast when I asked.

No. You must complete the 120 hours of training and all the other elements including the observation before you can be tested.
