NO but one time theese two people were sitting in front of me and he was there he got in trouble but no you cant even have you phone on uneless its on airplane mode

All portable electronics must be turned off once the cabin door is closed. The only items you can use onboard (above 10,000ft) are ones that don't transmit a signal. So no cell phones, AM/FM radios, walkie-talkies, etc. The likelyhood of a signal affecting the plane's electronics is small, but would you really want to risk it?

You can turn your cell phone on if it has a game or airplane mode, otherwise it has to be off until you land. If you tried to turn it on and use it, what would probably happen is: 1) A flight attendant would ask you to kindly turn it off and put it away... not so kindly if you ignore him/her. 2) It's very difficult to get a signal at such a high altitude. Your phone would use up all it's battery power searching.

no-and this is why- cell phones get in the way of the communications box thingy so it interferes with there communications thus meaning if a storm is coming you wouldnt have a clue because comms are down then you get caught in the storm or your cell phone would be picked up on the transmitter and they could here your conversation and then they would come back there and say no cells and take your cell and make you pay a fee for endandering others lives because it could interfere with another planes comms hope that all makes sense....
