Can I texture a concrete block basement?

My house was built in 1922. I'm trying to make a space in the basement for my teenagers. There is some moisture from the washer/dryer and an occasional leak. Because of this, I don't want to put in drywall, but I'm not sure what I could use on the cement walls to smooth them. Does anyone know of a concrete/stucco product that might work?

Yes there are some but there is also paperless drywall which will NOT get moldy.
