  1. I wouldn't straight up touch them and rub their scales and fins but sometimes i'll put the tip of my finger at the top of the water and they'll nibble at it because they mistake it for food.

  2. you probably can touch it but it mite be shocked. I've never tried it before but I'm pretty sure that it won't bite.

also i wouldn't take the chance.

    hope this helped!:D

  3. If you touch any fish it destroys the slimmy coat that protects them.  Then they can be more susceptible for disease and die.

  4. Donna is right! Don't touch your fish, it really could hurt them...

You love your fish, right? Don't touch them and you'll both be fine. :)

But they probably would bite you because they're used to getting food, and they might think your finger is food. Their mouths are fairly big so they probly could bite you.

  5. I like to pet koi in my friends pond and they dont mind. If i stick my finger in the bowl my fish sucks my finger its cute. But make sure u dont touch the gills. FISH DONT BITE

  6. Unless it's unusually aggressive it won't bite you. You can touch fish but you need CLEAN hands with no soap residue at all, but you can easily hurt it or even make it sick. So I wouldn't make a habit of it! Get a kitty instead =)

  7. If you put your finger SLIGHTLY in the water, it'll look like food so they will/might bite it. As for the touching..... I'm not sure but I think I heard somewhere that it's bad for ANY fish because you're rubbing off their slime coat? I don't really know but good luck! :)

  8. Depends on your betta fish. Some are agressive and some are not. I have 2 bettas. One of it is very nice and doesnt bite me and it will sometimes let me touch it. My other one is very agressive and it sometimes jump out of the water when im feeding it.

Yes you could touch anyfish but make sure your hands are wet when your are touching it. Any dry parts of your body that touches the fish will rub off some of the fish protective slim coat. Hope all is well. Email me if you have any questions.

  9. idk can you? how would a beta bite you exactly? its not like its mouth is big.

  10. If you touch any fish it destroys/weaken the slime coat that protects them. He/she will be more susceptible for disease.

My fish loves to be petted though but i dont do it often. Everytime i clean the tank, my goldfish comes up to my arm and rubs against it ^.^  Sometimes my fishes bite but it doesnt hurt.

  11. It won't bite you.  They don't like being touched though.  It will likely try to swim away from you.

  12. you shouldn't because it will riun it natural slime coat which protects it against diseases
