I have a car that doesn't run. The problem is i'm still making the payments. It's gonna cost close to the value of the car to have it fixed.

  1. Yes you can,but it's not usually a good idea economically speaking ☺

  2. Sounds like a tough situation.

Each dealership handles trade-ins different.  Most normally want a driveable vehicle as a trade-in.  However I have seen dealerships offer a special guaranteed minimum for any vehicle you can "push, pull, drive or tow."

Check kbb.com to get an idea of the trade-in and resale value of your vehicle.  You will normally get more selling the vehicle on your own and if you still owe money on your current vehicle, this may be best.

    I hope this has helped!

  3. Yes. some dealers actually have sales, and will give xxxx amount of dollars for any car traded in. Also known as a push pull or tow  minimun trade guarantee. Example "push pull or tow your car in and well give you $3000 towards buying any new (insert any car manufacturer here)"
