I want to know if it is possible to trade in my 2008 Kia Sportage for 2 used cars. I am approximately $8,000 upside down on my car. I would like to get two used cars that are about $10,000 each.

  1. Would most likely have to go through a dealer to help cover up the upside down cost on your current ride with the cost on what you want.  Just have to go tal and see.

  2. NOT sure.

also depends on state laws and the dealer

  3. I'm not sure what your state laws are, you may want to check if you can trade for 2 cars. Usually you can only trade for 1 car because you're handing over a title for only one car (the one you currently own). If you trade for one car and you end up with money back, then you may be able to put that money down on the other car you want to buy and then take it from there. Hope this helps out a bit.

  4. I would try and sell your car outright , then try and buy the cars you want. By upside down do you mean you owe $8,000 more than the car is worth (not familiar with your terminology)
