My sister has this subwoofer in her car which is a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. She is selling her car but I am wondering if I should buy her sub woofer and see if I can put it in my car. Its a 1987 Ford F250 XL. The truck only has an am/fm radio, but im wondering if I can get a nicer stereo system and hook up the woofer to it. I know absolutely nothing about audio, so help me out! thanks guys!

  1. You will need an amplifier to power that sub and a box that will fit your truck. I would replace the stereo too to avoid buying adapters for you amplifier.

This is a nice budget unit:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3305...

  2. The sub itself will work, however the sub box may not fit. You might have to build a new box to fit behind the seat, unless it's an extra cab.
