This ID has their website account associated with it and it is uncomfortable having my name on it since we parted in a bad way. If I delete the ID will it take down their website?

  1. I would contact Yahoo customer care before deleting it, since everything is tied to the Yahoo ID normally. Call or email them:

Yahoo's customer service number is 866-562-7219

    Email:  cc-advoc@yahoo-inc.com

  2. no but you can delete it

  3. If it is not linked to YOUR name in any way - if it is a generic id, you can just tell the person now in charge what the id is - what the password is - wish them good luck - and leave.  DO NOT do this if the id has any of your personal data attached to it.  Other then that -- pass it on!

  4. no

  5. all you really have to do is give them the id name and the password and once they change the password they need to edit the "personal profile/information" section. (I personally would first blank my own out so they can't see it). That's all it takes.

  6. deleting your y! ID will delete their website as well. so what i could suggest is that you call them and tell them you could call yahoo and release the domain name so they could sign for it after 24hrs of releasal using their their own y! ID. but let me just inform you that once it'll be deleted/cancelled and then released, all the files info and emails connected to it will be deleted as well. or on the otehr hand you could just give them the whole right to access your email add and website and just get a new email. but that would be a hassle on your part right?-from y! smallbusiness agent
