I need to take pictures from my computer and put them into my camera so I can take them to a printer and have them printed.

  1. Copy the pictures to a CD & bring them in.  Or find out if the printer accepts it if you bring in pictures on your flash drive.

I haven't tried it yet, but the teacher in our photography class told us it's much easier and faster to use a flash drive than transfer to CD's (unless you have a Mac).  People with Mac's for some reason can't use the information he gives us on our flash drives we bring to class.

  2. You have a few choices. If you have a memory card reader, remove the memory card from the camera and put it into the reader. Insert the reader into one of the USB ports on your computer. If you don't have a reader, you can connect your camera directly to the computer, but the camera has to be on while you're transferring the pictures and this will eat up your batteries to some extent.

Anyway, once you've made the connection, go to the My Computer icon in the Start Menu. When this opens, you will see your camera (or the camera memory card) in the list of items - it will have a letter like G: or H: or something. To be sure you've located the right thing, simply double click it and it will show you whatever pictures you now have in the memory card. You may have to open some folders in the card to see the pictures, but keep digging.

Leave this window open. If you want to make a separate folder to contain the new pictures, this is a good time to do it.

Next, click start and click the My Pictures folder (I assume the pictures you want are here). Select the pictures you want, click Edit and then copy. Finally, right click the folder you made on your memory card, and click paste. This will copy the pictures to the card. If you don't want them on your computer anymore, then you can delete them once you're sure they are on the memory card.

All of this assumes you have enough room on the memory card and that you're using a Windows computer.

    Good luck.
