Can I transfer to another Banana Republic in a Smaller Town and Make the Same Pay as I Did in NYC?

Although minimum wage varies from state to state, my guess would be that you WOULD keep the same pay because 1) you already work there and already have an agreed upon pay rate, 2) all stores are part of the same company... you are not quitting and starting again, and 3) as per the employee handbook it states something along the lines that if you quit your job and restart again you will maintain the same pay that you were at when you left. If you quit and restart again after a years time has passed, you will have to start over again at a new wage. (This is all from memory, so I might be wrong. You should double check if you have your new hire handbook still. Or check with your manager. Even if they don't know the answer, they will know where/who to go to get the answer. Good luck.  


  2. no, it wont be as much.

    big cities pay more because it costs more to live there. if your in a small town, you wont get paid as much, but, you also wont have to spend as much, small towns have lower prices.
