I am a U.S. permanent resident. I was only 2 months old when I came to the U.S. I have never been out of the country, therefore, don't have a passport from my country of origin.

  1. You will need to get a Jamacian passport to travel.

This has to be done at either the Embassy of Jamaica in Washington, D.C., or at one of the Consulate General (New York or Miami).

  3. The government doesn't really CARE about your personal experiences... they require a PASSPORT to re-enter the U.S. by air or sea, so if that is your plan, then it's up to YOU to figure out how to get one... AND... if you are a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the U.S. then why can't you get a U.S. Passport?  You will need a birth certificate from your home country and the necessary paperwork to prove residency in the U.S.

You need to be talking to the U.S. Passport Agency... you won't get your answer here on Yahoo because that is a complex question and FAR beyond the scope of Answers.
