I want to travel to Lithuania, and I know it's in Schengen Area. But I am not sure if I can travel there with a Dutch Residence Permit or Schengen Visa, considering I am not a EU national.

  1. The first answer is not correct

My husband is non-EU and has a Dutch residence permit.

We go to his home in Bosnia every year by car, thus travelling through Germany, Austria & Slovenia and back, and of course then crossing the EU border from Croatia to Slovenia.  With his passport and his permit then he has no problems entering/exiting the Schengen zone.

If you want a confirmation (as you now have two different answers) then either contact the IND http://www.ind.nl/NL/algemeen/contact/in... or the Lithuanian embassy in the Netherlands http://lithuania.visahq.com/embassy/Neth... Then way you can be sure you have 100% accurate info

  2. If you have just a permit to live in the Netherland and your not an EU citizen you need a visa to vist Lithuania. But if you have a schengen visa you can travel to Lithuania.
