Well I want to save some money and buy from ebay. My mom is nervous about giving her credit card # out. Is there an article or a link to a 100% money back guarantee that I can show her?

  1. I can understand your mum's worries, but buy through paypal and you'll be fine. I've claimed money back twice from paypal, no problems. Go onto paypal site they have all details.

Checking feed back for the person you're going to purchase from is a good idea. Oh and get a security system for your computer and add your mum's card numbers to that for extra protection. that's what I do, I use Norton.

I had my card cloned, (before I ever used ebay) police think it was at a major supermarket but it may have been the TK Maxx thing! (Which is another place for bargains) So there's a risk whenever you use a card, but so long as you're security conscious and sensible you'll be fine.

    happy bargain hunting!!

  2. ~~Most of the credit cards have protection for online buying. Check with yours.  If you set up a PayPal account no one will ever see your payment information, it's a very secure site. I always check out the sellers history and read the customer reviews for peace of mind on what I 'm buying anyway. Never put any information on a website that does not show a padlock in the right hand bottom corner or have the heading of https (the s shows it is secure). That is when the information is encrypted and can't be seen over the internet. Either one show this is a protected site. It's usually on a payment and personal info page. Always check for that first. I have used my credit card with those guidelines on so many sites and I have done so for years and never had any problems. I think for your mom's peace of mind it would be best to go to Paypal and register your credit card there then she will have no worries. It takes a few days to get it set up but they are great to work with!~~
