  1. your hamster obviously feels threatened by you, so i dont think you should barge into her space with your hand. try holding a treat in your hand an letting her come to you and taking the treat from your hand. let her sniff you, let her get to know you. but know that she will probably bite you, which is a completely normal hamster behavior. never use gloves to hold your hamster, or she will lose your scent. and take things really slow, dont grab her and scare her, let her come onto your hand, but wait until shes ready to be held. you can also try rubbing your hand on a damp rag then putting it in her cage so she can get used to your scent without actually having to see your hand.

  2. yes you can!

  3. I would use the same gloves every time. Like the sent of your skin she will get used to the scent of the glove. Some little animals just bite.

  4. Yes, maybe you should stroke and play with your hamster more often.

Picking up your scent is a good way for her to recognise you.

I think she just needs to get used to you :)

  5. Well, dont exactly put in your whole hand if ur hammy still bites. Just let her see you when ur around, let her get comfortable with you. stick a finger near her, she might sniff it, and take it out, but be gentle.

  6. 1 - She was feeling protective of her tissue.

2 - You do not want to use a glove, because it covers up your scent.

3 - Unless she's drawing blood on your hand, then she's not used to your scent.

4 - You need to handle her every day, or else she won't remember you.

5 - If she bites the bars on her cage (if you have that kind) then she might be cage aggressive.

  7. My hamsters don't like it when i put my hand in their cage either. I put my hand up to the cage so if they want to go on they can.
