It says that it blocks out 99% of UV rays. Can I trust that they will protect the eyes from UVA and UVB rays? I bought them for under 10 bucks. The lenses are plastic (polycarbonate? not sure) Should I bring them to a optician to get them checked by a UV meter? How much does this usually cost? Thanks!

  1. They should be fine....does it say anything about meeting ANSI standards on it?  If it does, it's definitely good.
