Can I turn right or left on red onto a one-way street?

I'm on a one-way 4 lane road. 2 lanes turn left to another one-way street, and 2 lanes go straight. For each lane, there is a stop light. If I want to turn left, can I turn left on red, or do I have to wait for the green? In Michigan btw.

  1. RED LIGHT MEANS STOP!  Not turn left on red...bunky!


  2. as MJ said though stop first, and as long as there is Not a sign saying "no turn on red"... ask a cop and be nice about it...

  3. You should be able too, but you haft to be in the closest lane to the curb

  4. Yes, unless unsafe or otherwise posted, but you must also be in the lane nearest the curb and turn into the lane which corresponds with your lane.

  5. No! Never a left on a red, where did you get your Drivers License? Remind me never to take my son to the same

    place, when it's time to get his License....
