Can I update my ipod with itunes on one computer and another?

My old laptop has about a thousand songs on it and I couldn't transfer them to the new laptop.

No, only one. If you sync it with another computer it will delete all files and add the ones in the second itunes library.

Actually, yes, you can, when you plug your iPod in, click on "Manually Manage Music and Videos" (I'll put the official Apple link below).

That way you can have music from either computer on your iPod.

I also have included the link to help you enable your iPod's "disk use," meaning you will able to transfer your music files from one computer to another.
