Can I upgrade my phone without a new 2 yr agreement?

I have a Slvr from Verizon, this is my 2nd version of this phone because my first phone of this kind i had for 2 yrs then it broke and then dad got me the same d**n phone instead of letting me choose one i wanted and then i have to wait until december to upgrade so he is saying he can just call it in and allow me to have text messaging but I do not want to wait until 2 yrs from then to get a new phone because I want the LG Dare

Yes... I did try calling Verizon but they won't let me connect to an operator because I do not know my father's last 4 SS#'s

Please help me someone

  1. If the account is in your dad's name, no you can't.

    When you get old enough to have your own account, then you can change phones every week -- as long as you pay full price for the phone.


  2. u can upgrade without 2 years contract,but u have to pay the full price of dare

    in all the case wheather to upgrade through phone,store or onlline,u NEED UR FATHER's SSN

    other option u have is,buy on amazon , ebay or other site u trust, on full price

  3. you can go onto a website like ebay and buy the phone with no coontract, then you can just tranfer numbers.
