  1. It's a very critical thing to replace a processor especially if you don't have much knowledge about the technology.

I saw most of the people damaging the computer because they don't have the knowledge.

In this regard I suggest you to contact Local Manufacturer and take advice and get replaced.

Most of the processors can be replaced but if you get replaced at authorized store you will have the guarantee even if doesn't work after replacing.

If you buy the processor from the market and if it doesn't work store will not replace the processor.

  2. you should be able to, although you may have to update the BIOS.  Please reference the MFG's website.

  3. Find the specifications of your MOBO and see which processors are compatible. You can find all of this out through the internet. It would be wise to go to Gigabyte's website.

  4. You would have to do that because each processor has a different shape. so you cant put any processor in the motherboard find one in the shape of AMD Athlon 3000+. Look in your manual too to make sure it can handle the upgrade. The manual also tells you what processors will work.

  5. AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+, 2200 mhz (socket 939)

  6. look on manufactureres website to see if you can swa processorsor, then get a processor that will work.
