Yeh sure you can...I always have...

usually for me i just plug in the usb lead and after a few seconds an obtion box comes up without having to use any special software..don't know whether it'l be different for you? But saves space on your memory harddrive.

Yes you can. I'd suggest that you don't even load Kodak's software because most of those programs are just resource hogs and are filled with scumware. Your computer can handle the picture files just fine.

yes. after hooking up the camera wait for it to appear in my computer. then just open the folder and copy and paste your pictures as if you were moving a regular file

with usb port, you can plug in device, and it will appear as new drive:\ E ~or next, open drive and copy all file to new folder,

if you have kodak camera with software, try to figure out why its not conveniently working, and possibly reinstall later,
