Can I upload videos from JVC mini tape camcorder to my pinnacle software?

I know now that I need a firewire but will it transfer from the minin tapes to the computer?

Yes, I'm using pinacle studio 11 ultimate. I just upgraded form Pinacle studio 9. It works very good with your firewire connection.

Yes.  Just about every piece of editing software ever made supports DV capture via Firewire.

Pinnacle's offerings do accept video capture via Firewire.  I've personally never used it, but read the manual/help for step-by-step directions.  All I can tell you is that I am 100% certain that your software will do DV capture via Firewire.
