I'm trying to add a cordless phone/answering machine and already have 4 phones that work off of a cordless system. Will they conflict by causing static? Will I be able to pick up phones from both systems and have several people talking to a caller?

  1. hard to say some brands are NOT complaint with other just makesure they are the same frequncies, ie do nor use 12.4 gig and 1 5 gig then you may run into trouble, try and see what happensjsut make sure they arereturneable if you have problems

  2. Most cordless phones nowadays are arranged to not interfere with other phones.  One safe approach is to get a base station that supports multiple phones.

  3. yes, you can!!

I have to different digital phone systems in my home and never had a problem!!

    Base-phone with 6 extensions....with built-in router/firewall...Panasonic Dect 6.0

and the Uniden 5.8MHz with 3 extensors, 1 of them blue-tooth

Yes. They all have the ability to set them to a different frequency.

  4. If all the phones are connected to the same phoneline (if you don't know, then you probably only have one line, then you're good!) it will work

The one thing that you need to check is what frequency the phones operate on.  The two most common (only?) frequencies are 5.8 and 2.4.  So if one set of phones is one frequency the other set should be the other.  I'm fairly confident of this answer, but if anyone could confirm/deny this ... It'd help!
