  1. i think you mean agnus castus , all the advice on available webpages says do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. this is probably due to the lack of research done in the area of herbal remedies in pregnancy; for obvious reasons , but it's not worth the risk, lots of drugs can pass in to breastmilk.

  2. Agnus castus can be used as milk booster:

"Chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus). Talented fourth-generation California herbalist Christopher Hobbs, a botanist whom I respect, suggests using Vitex shortly after delivery to promote milk flow. This recommendation goes a bit beyond the usual uses of chasteberry for breast tenderness, PMS and menstrual complaints, but I have no problem suggesting this revered women's herb to enhance lactation. It's probably worth a try. (And it's a handsome ornamental flowering tree, as lovely as lilac.) "

"Agnus castus is often used as milk booster and is generally safe for your baby"

But there is a warning too:

"Chaste tree is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this product. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this product is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding"

So, before using it, please ask an expert!!!
