Can I use E-fax to send and receive faxes to phone-line fax machines?

You can use E-Fax to send faxes from a PC to a phone-line fax, but you would require a paid for E-Fax number to receive them unless your computer was connected to a land line in which case the sender would dial up your land line number. I think that it has to be a direct connection (Not through an ADSL modem).
