My church is having a carnival and to cut down on the price we would like to use soda and juice syrup. I want to know whter or not we can mix the syrup with water in a 5 gallon container and just serve it. I have a feeling the juice would be fine but i was wondering if the soda would be flat. I want real answers please not just opinions because the syrup is expensive even to just do a test round.

  1. Don't use water, use carbonated water (club soda) and mix it with the syrup when you serve it, not before hand.

  2. Maybe use plain "Soda water", it would be somewhat fizzy then........

  3. You can buy soda water at the store. Add that to the syrup and it will be normal. I do the same thing when I sell energy drinks at events. I use the syrup and add carbonated water to it that I buy in 2 liter bottles.

  4. use club soda. it's inexpensive and carbonated. i do it all the time at home because it's hard to find cranberry and pomegranate sodas.

i wouldn't pre-mix it though. if you have a lot of flavors to choose from, let each person choose for themselves. just put ice in a cup, pour in the desired syrup, and top with club soda. stir with straw and enjoy!
