  1. No.  You can only use it to terminate a running program.  To disable a program from running on start up.  Go Start->All Prorgrams->Startup and delete the short cut here.  Or go Start->Run, type msconfig, click the startup tab and take the check-mark of the program


  2. No. You have to use msconfig. You can use Windows Task Manager to terminate any program running with no problem if you know what you're doing, though.

  4. Do a search for a program called tune up 2004.It's a very good maintenance program.I have it and the crack..you get a 30 day trial.It will allow you to tick off the programs that you don't want to run at windows start up.
