Question:

Can I use Yahoo Mobile if my cell phone doesn't have Web capability?

First, I don't think my cell has the ability to connect to the Web. But I was under the impression that I can just send text messages to 92466 with my buddy's name(s) as the first word of the text and I can chat with them via text message.

Second, I can't register my phone via the 'Sign in to mobile device' menu item in Yahoo Messenger. When I click it, I get the following error message: "Action canceled. Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable." Does anyone have the URL for this so I can try to register my phone?

Once that's done, it seems pretty straightforward to talk with my friends. I just don't know how to access the Web via my phone or how to register my phone.

  1. you can use Yahoo Mobile if your phone is under the list of yahoo phone services. to check it, try to log in on your messenger with your ID. when you're logged in, register your mobile for SMS service. IF your mobile is covered by yahoo, you will have to see the button to "continue" the registration. then a confirmation code will be sent to your mobile. once you have the confirmation code sent on your mobile, enter that code in your messenger to complete the registration process. then put a check mark to "automatically sign in to your mobile" after logging out from the messenger.
