Nooooo it's the HZ thats different not the volts  60 hz in the U.S. and 50 hz in Asia..You need a converter to plug into their service first then plug your U.S. item into it....

all you have to get is a adapter thing that steps down the power and makes it so us plugs will fit in. The plugs over seas are shaped different and this adapter will make them right. hope this helps.
