Can I use a 210mm rotor with Marzocchi MX/Mz forks?

The Marzocchi team says that the maximum rotor size is 7", but I do not why? what is the problem if I use a 210 mm rotor size? I would like to buy a MX bomber, but I have a front brake with 210 rotor and I do not want buy a new one.

  1. 7" is the max (185mm).....if you try to mount an 8" rotor on there it will hit the lowers.  If it'll even spin, it'll cut into the metal...bad mojo!

The other thing is that it's not a downhill fork....it's not as stout, and the forces that can be applied from the stopping power of a large rotor will put more stress on the bushings and crown.  Again, bad mojo.

7" has plenty of stopping power....lots of it.   8" is only helpful for extended downhills and highspeed gravity runs....most people don't need it.

Stick with the recommended gear and ride happy.   :o)
