Can I use a Dish Network Satellite dish to receive Directv if it is aimed proplerly?

There is a dish network satellite dish already mounted..can I use it to receive Directv signal if I align it to directv satellite?

      How could u..

      even the antenna receive the directv signal, Ur setup box will not accept it. the frequencies r set different for different satellites

  2. You can use a Dish antenna with Direct reciever, but only if its a single LNBF Dish 300 antenna and is conected direct to reciever, no switches.

  3. The antenna will work just fine. Leave it as is. Just make sure that you aim it at the DirecTV satellite.  

    It may NOT receive the HD programming as this requires special LNB's on the antenna but regular programming NO problem.

  4. yes, an antenna is an antenna. but to receive directv, you need a directv receiver.
