Can I use a Harley engine With Volkswagen beetle transmission?

Absolutely......Has been done alot. Do a Google search for HD powered VW and see what there is out there. Was actually a manufactured Trike available back in the late 1990's that is just as you described, A VW trike with an HD engine installed. It was rather expensive and the company did not last that long. But companies like Kelmark Engineering still make the adapter to connect the HD Engine to the VW Transaxle.

Anything is possible to do if you throw enough money at it.The clutch hook up would probably be the toughest part.I'm like Snoop...curious....what are you building?

have no suggestions or experience in doing such, but i would think so.  i don't know which way the input shaft faces if it's a transmission style or a fwd transaxle style, but it will need a pretty funky mount up and an open primary can run about anything.... now i'm curious, wtf are you wanting to build outta all this?  some sort of buggy?
