Question:

Can I use a Nintendo Wii on a PC Video Card?

I'm thinking of getting a Wii, but I don't want to get another TV for it. I was thinking of buying a TV Card for my PC and using that.

Is it possible to do that?

What're the required specs for the TV Card?

What are the pros/cons of doing this?

  1. jacks on the back of video cards are output only,

but you can plug it directly into your computer monitor

if your monitor lacks extra jacks there are adapters you can buy

  2. buy a video card/TV module that HAS Audio/Video In jacks so you could connect your Wii.

  3. Yes it's possible, read through http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MultiAV

Which means the Wii has A/V jacks you can connect to, although unfortunately you can't connect it to the computer monitor directly,  you can buy a TV tuner which has A/V IN and have RS232 OUTPUT (so you could connect to the PC Monitor without the computer)

Although there are lots of Video cards with A/V IN,  the draw back is you would need your PC turned on for this to work.

  4. just use ur orther tv
