Can I use a USB on my Sony DCR-HC 52 to transfer video from my camcorder to computer?

I just purchased this camcorder thinking I could easily transfer video. My computer doesn't have firewire or av outputs as suggested. Would the USB work?

  1. Use RCA cable from camera to computer. you just need to have video captyre card or usb capture card
