Can I use a home made speed-feed for paintball?

Question

I have an evolution 3 hopper (eggy 3) and the cap thing broke off. I did what I could and made a custom one out of a think flexible binder. Would the refs care that its my home made speed-feed?

I've used completely homemade hoppers at fields before that were lax and they seemed not to care.  They were a simple rheostat, motor, and an on off switch from an NES.  As far as a homemade rig being NPPL legit I don't see why not.  You could always replace it with this similar product.

They won't care people make those all the time. I've seen some people make it from guitar hero boxes =/

Nah, its no big deal at all, it just takes a while to figure out how to get it to stick in that stupid evolution 3, I was about to shoot myself in the face. Truthfully, if you go to Walmart, go to the housing section, find some of those cheap place matts in the kitchen isle that are made out of that plastic stuff, they're a lot stronger than the binders I found out. Just make sure it locks back and the paint doesn't spill out but you can have homemade stuff. One time this guy had 2 a5's hooked together with a homemade crank giving the gatlin gun impression off. He had a harness and he cranked in the middle and watch paint fly. Things like that arn't legal in tournaments but are legal in local fields. As for the speed feed, most people won't even recognize that it isn't bought off of ebay so go for it dude. Need any help making that speed feed let me know.

um depends on the field. I have two fields in my town one lets anything go and are kinda of lax but the other is kind of up tight. SO it depends on the refs at the field. if your playing in a tournament FORGET IT they are not going to let you use it. Other than that you should be fine but you might want to consider a new one so that nothing stupid happens with your homemade .
