Can I use a key to unlock my truck after arming w/keyless entry? ?

Or will the alarm go off if I do? It is a 2001 Toyota 4 runner Thank you

  1. Yes.  The key is microchipped, so as soon as the key is inserted in the door the alarm system recognizes that is the right key and will disable the alarm as soon as you unlock the door.  


  2. Yes, we have owned 5 Toyotas from brand new and currently have Sienna XLE minivan and Highlander 6 cylinder AWD and FYI with the alarm set on any Toyota, unlocking it manually with ignition key on either the drivers door or front passenger door with 2 clicks/turns does NOT ever set off alarm.
