Can I use a metrolink ticket from Burbank airport to Los Angeles on a amtrak trains?

okay I'm flying into Burbank on a weekend

and want to take a train from Burbank to Union station

since its a weekend I see Metrolink doesnt service the Burbank

airport station but Amtrak does

someone told I could use a metrolink ticket for this trip

instead of paying the Amtrak fare

is that correct?

  1. No, you have to buy an Amtrak ticket to ride an Amtrak train.

    as I got this from the metrolink website

    Note: ALL Metrolink ticket holders (including one way, round-trip, 10 trip or monthly pass) may, within the origin and destination of their ticket or pass, ride ANY Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train (indicated by "A" on the schedule) between Los Angeles and Burbank-Bob Hope Airport at no additional cost as part of the Rail 2 Rail program.

    but only between those two points
