Can I use a screen-capture program such as CamStudio without breaking copyright laws.....?

For example, if it captured Logos, Software or Wallpapers? Would it be ok for YouTube? I can't make head nor tail of the YouTube copyright notice so thanks in advance for any help!

  1. Yes of course. Think of it this way if you shoot a movie in New York is it against the law to film the starbucks logo?

    Sometimes in Guitar magazines or TV  they will blot out the name of an amp or something but that's because they don't want to give free advertising to already paying clients, or they don't want to advertise Fender when the sponser is Gibson.

    Parody. You can take a Madonna song and impose humorous pokes about her sexuality and post that on you tube and thats protected, but it'll still get taken down if Madonna complains because youtube isn't go to go through legal tests for one of the seventy thousand daily uploads.  


  2. Using someone elses logos is illegal, but most people don't care and its not you, but youtube that takes the blame.
